They are in line with each other in the x and y directions, but the foci are not in the same place as far as the z direction goes.\\ Red:\\ {{img_0568.jpg?direct&400}} Blue:\\ {{img_0569.jpg?direct&400}} =====23 September, 2016===== Erich and I have been working on the particle velocity test. Based on previous data, the galvos can scan as many as 25,000 points per second, if not more. This number makes sense because most galvo scan rates are advertised at either 20kpx/s or 30kpx/s. The following are pictures of the velocity test, moving the particles along a ruler at as high of a speed as possible to measure the max speed a particle can achieve without falling out of the laser. {{velocitytest1.png?direct&400}} {{velocitytest2.png?direct&400}} {{velocitytest3.png?direct&400}} The camera frame speed is set at 60 frames per second, and each tick is one millimeter, so it was measured that the particle was moving at approximately 0.467 m/s (a distance of 584 pixels per second). This isn't the max speed necessarily, just the highest speed we've caught on camera up to this point.
