The RGB Color Test is complete. Here are the results:
Two modes were discovered for green and blue, with the second mode being the brightest on either. Blue light only made it halfway through the device, but the device was longer than our normal holo-chip design, so that may or may not be an issue.
We can now make green and blue cartridges, and even have the possibility of using one grating period for all three colors or three separate grating periods (stacked on top of each other using the femto-second laser) for a single white laser.
With the help of Dr. Smalley, Caitlin and I were able to finish testing our device. We then were able to mount the device into the cartridge with guidance from Scott, and should soon be able to align it properly and then it will be ready to be put into a monitor. We have two more devices that are being tested, and three more devices that are just about ready to be tested.
First device completed, and it works!
