This sample as two sets of 6 transducers. Each set is comprised of three transducers toward the edge and three transducers away from the edge. One set is pointing away from each other (Set 1), while the other points towards each other (Set 2). These are designed to see the interactions of SAW waves with two transducers in the light path.
Y-cut Lithium Niobate. Normal prep, no proton exchange.
Only minor flaws in the transducers are visible.
Near the edge
Away from the edge
When referring to numbered transducers, it is understood that one is the transducer connected to that number port.
Most of the transducers are well connected, and match each other well. They were fabricated well. Transduers 1, 9, and 10 were open on 6-1-15, but the next day Transducer 1 was functioning and t9 and 10 were closed when inductors were placed, however all other transducers are extremely similar. Each has some smith chart disturbances and a very slight dip in the SWR chart between 150-200 MHz and all have a major loop around 600-700 MHz. Smith Charts and SWR for each port Before Impedance Matching (As counted from the top):
Smith and Swr charts after impedance matching. Note that the loops in the lower frequencies (to which I impedance matched) were not as “pretty” as the big loops in the upper frequencies. Two inductances were used, 100 nH and 82 nH.
