D9

Past:

D9 was proton exchanged for 10 minutes and annealed for 45 minutes.

Prepped with pmma and aqua save for ESEM.

Written in ESEM at Spot 5 for long transducers, developed for 1 minute.

Evaporated 200nm Aluminum, placed in NMP for liftoff.

Liftoff was successful.

Sign Low F Mid F High F

Smith Charts and SWR for each port Before Impedance Matching (As counted from the top):

T1 T2 T3
T4 T5 T6

After Impedance Matching (As counted from the top):

T1 T2 T3
T4 T5 T6

The day after impedance matching all the Mid and High transducers had a circle around the outside of the Smith Chart.

Under the microscope they look like this:

Low F Mid F High F Close Up

Update 5/26/2015: Now every transducer on this device is displaying the open circle. I believe that all the transducers on this device are broken. It appears that a signal greater than 25 Dbm causes one of the busses to overload and burn up.

Current:

Clean off and reuse.
